No other company, it seems, is as passionate or as prolific as Mazda when it comes to churning out future concepts.
Case in point: the Kiyora. Meaning "clean and pure" in Japanese, the new concept applies Mazda’s ongoing flow-theme (Nagare) to the city car market.
Unlike many other concepts, which feature futuristic visions of combustion as wacky as their exteriors, the Kiyora is powered by a small, efficient 1.3-liter gasoline mill, very similar to the engine found in the current European Mazda2.
We don't expect this particular concept to arrive on dealer lots any time soon. But it's likely that similar lines could be applied to the next generation Mazda. Too bad, too, we'd love to see scissor-style doors finally make it into a city car.
